A retired couple living in a rural part of Connecticut were looking to assure that they had power regardless of when the power was restored in their area.  Tower Generator designed this system around a compact 12kw with a Briggs and Stratton DirectPower™ transfer switch.  This switch mounts on the electric meter outside the home.  The Symphony® II power management system will enable this homeowner to power his whole house by managing the loads during an outage.
