The Challenge
This elderly housing complex in eastern Connecticut was looking to have all eight buildings powered by generators in the event of an outage.
The Solution
Tower Generator designed this project by utilizing three 100 kW generator sets to power two buildings each and two 60 kW generator sets to provide power to each of the remaining two buildings. Each building received an individual transfer switch and since natural gas was already onsite, the fuel source was an easy implementation. Tower Generator did all the excavation and poured the pads for the five generators. Ironically, the generators were put to use during a storm that hit about a week after the generators were started up.
